Earthquake Proof Log Houses
Recently we received a call from a previous customer living just outside Lyttleton. He called to tell us about how our log house had performed in the recent Christchurch earthquake and we were not surprised to hear it was perfect.
We had our construction methods analysed by a highly experienced structural engineer and he concluded that our log houses provided 8 times the bracing against earth quakes which is required by the building code. This makes our log houses practically earthquake proof!
Another Log Chalet Almost Completed
This week, the team at NZ Log Chalets are on site just outside Rotorua adding the finishing touches to another log house. This one as always came in well under budget with minimum disruption to the natural site environment which was an important consideration for our client.
